Ukrenergo Proposes Increasing Electricity Transmission and Dispatch Tariffs from July 1, 2026

Ukrenergo has submitted a proposal to the regulator to revise electricity transmission and dispatch tariffs. The reasons include exchange rate changes, expected market price growth, and a decline in forecasted transmission volumes.

Ukrenergo has proposed new tariffs for electricity transmission and dispatching services starting from July 1, 2026. According to the published information, the electricity transmission tariff may be set at UAH 958.87 per MWh. The dispatching tariff is proposed at UAH 171.12 per MWh.

Ukrenergo states that the need to revise the tariffs is driven by several factors. Among the main reasons are exchange rate fluctuations, expected growth in electricity market prices, and a decrease in forecasted electricity transmission volumes. The tariff revision may affect the operating costs of electricity market participants, including suppliers, traders, producers, and large consumers. The final decision regarding the tariff approval is expected to be made by the regulator.

ETCON will continue monitoring the further consideration of this issue and the potential impact of the new tariffs on electricity market participants.
